How To Make My Leg Stop Twitching

ART SOCKS embellishing Orotava STAY IN THE VILLA THROUGH THE AGES ...

In homage to the Virgen del Carmen in the poor parish of St. Juan Bautista, fishing ground up, through the dedication of a street without exit, on the name in the neighborhood of La Farrobo Villa de La Orotava .

painting, crafts, sculpture and sumptuary are the axes of the exhibitions organized in that place, exhibiting a total of fifty pieces, including paintings, sculptures, models, drawings, architectural drawings and objects from private collections.
For the first time publicly discussed this set of works arranged according to a chronological sequence that starts from the XVI century .
The first set contains a selection of artworks from of the Peninsula, Flanders and America. The second section includes the legacy creations by local artists, while the third and final area is dedicated to authors who have chosen La Orotava as a place of residence or pictorial motif. Accustomed
studying the History of Humanity by reference to Eastern civilizations and the Egyptian world (whose temporary stages are handled in thousands) Many people might have the feeling that almost 500 years since the founding La Orotava, not a historical period as long as enough for our municipal territory took place as relevant events to be reviewed by historians . However, though there are still skeptics, also La Orotava has its place in history. The remoteness of the European continent together with our psychological characteristics have served to accentuate the feeling of isolation to the point of not considering us , in many cases, even the protagonists of our own history. We were able to memorize an extensive list of important characters protagonists of the story nation
to, but we ignored the most basic of our life path considering the facts and creations, ideas and beliefs, advances and setbacks that occurred in our daily lives depended extraneous factors to influence our own. Fortunately, things are changing a lot in recent times. Research on the municipal historical events (and island) have experienced phenomenal growth, and historians notable have rescued many elements of our culture that we believed definitely lost. A new mindset no stranger to current methods of historical research, that while taking a rigorous view of events has known about the man in the street, have become a key player and have possible a revival of various cultural events forgotten, or almost unknown to younger generations. Fortunately much of this cultural wealth lay dormant in the collective unconscious in the form of written or oral, just waiting for a restless spirit dust off the or willing to listen to those "special files" that are our grandparents . But not release the bells the fly, we have not advanced dramatically. We believe this without falling into folkloric attitudes or trivial, must be the way forward, it is clear that until today, the most significant of our recent past is yet to be discovered and we need to not only write a full story and renewed Canary Islands where the facts are interpreted with a scientific and objective position, but also to conclusively support local history studies for the picture definitely changes . From this perspective further our understanding of ourselves and try to discover the keys to operating the recent past to understand what we are today, we organize this exhibition in La Orotava : living space for art, where artistic expressions, past and present come together in a directed attempt to popularize among the slum dwellers - and all those visitors to the exhibition - the common heritage of spectacular and unique beauty. The exhibitions held (arts and crafts documentation) on the occasion of the celebration of the Congress of Local History, exhibiting works spanning five hundred years of history since the founding of La Orotava until today. They are exposed only a fraction, but very representative of the rich cultural heritage that cherishes our Villa. Arts in the exhibition have selected some fifty paintings and sculptures, models, drawings, architectural drawings and objects. Most pieces come from various private collections and is the first time they are exposed to public. The sequence of the exhibition takes place in historical and chronological order. It graphically expresses (fairly limited) the early love of the inhabitants of the village by collecting and evolution of local and foreign artists related to our town, from the XVI century today. For ease of understanding are three distinct nuclei interest: the first section is devoted to show a small but significant , selection of works imported from other places that express, depending on the social context of the time, the attraction so come out, essentially of the Peninsula, Flanders and America. The second block shows specific work of artists you tenacity in La Villa de la Orotava or established there since the sixteenth century until today. A third exhibition closes and last section that meets present creations by local artists and others from different backgrounds who have chosen La Orotava to live or have chosen the theme of painting. The craft shows, will be primarily focused on tissue and woodwork. The work of depth and show different patterns of embroidery tablecloths, table mats, towels, blouses, dresses with traditional treatments Valley: in cookies, strand, thin and madrigal. Wood, a Craftsman-industrial sector where local carpenters showed their great office, will exhibit some examples of comfortable couches, chairs and functional furniture. Finally say that the intention behind the organizers of this exhibition is to approximate the general public to the works of art, encouraging the idea that the artistic heritage is a general wealth that belongs to us all and we should all be jealous guardians, regardless of whether your property is public or private . The empowerment art, in short, leads us to the sources of our domestic history more intimate and these expos temporary ition private collections are a great opportunity to publicize and disseminate, in addition to our rich architecture Other important treasures of our private space that only exceptionally have been shown in public. Our task, therefore, does not end at this event, we dream of more risky and ambitious companies. Not rule out the organization a major exhibition of heritage work in the near future in this space museum.
